Water Recreation Facility Obtains Building Department and Health District Approval to Occupy/Operate
After the building department issues a Certificate of Occupancy, the WRF owner must submit an application and associated fees to the health district to obtain a permit to operate the facility. Once the application is approved and operating permit issued, the facility can be opened to users.
The facility will then be included in the health district routine inspection program, which includes a minimum of one inspection per year for a seasonal facility (operating 6 months or less during the year) and minimum of two inspections per year for an annually operated facility (operating greater than 6 months in the year). A routine inspection will be conducted within 30 days of issuance of a new operating permit.
