Step #6

Health District Completes Water Recreation Facility (WRF) Pre-Occupancy Inspection

The health district pre-occupancy inspection ensures the construction conforms to the approved plans. The inspection is comprehensive and includes verification that all equipment is installed per plan review, checking barrier design and function, measurement of appropriate light levels, checking for all required safety equipment and signage and testing of the water chemistry for appropriate ranges of pH and disinfectant. If corrections are required, additional pre-occupancy inspections must be requested.

After successful completion of the pre-occupancy inspection, the health district notifies the building department that it has no objection to the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy.
