Owners and contractors seeking sewage system installation service providers may refer to the following list of installers currently permitted through SRHD to provide sewage system installation services. The health district does not endorse, recommend or warrant the work of any sewage system installer. The following is provided for informational purposes only.
In accordance with WAC 246-272A-0340, on-site sewage system installers must obtain approval from the local health officer prior to providing services within a local health jurisdiction. Installers are permitted annually by Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD). The permit process includes an application, payment of applicable fees and completing a test at SRHD.
To become a permitted installer, applicants must submit an application, take and pass an installer’s test, and bring a copy of current Washington State Labor & Industries contractor license and payment (view current SRHD fee schedule) to SRHD’s primary location at 1101 W. College Ave., Spokane, Room 402.
To inquire about becoming a licensed installer, please contact the Liquid Waste Program at liquidwaste@srhd.org or 509.324.1560 ext. 1. Before contacting SRHD, we recommend that you review the Wastewater Rules and Regulations from the Washington State Department of Health.
