The health district’s pre-occupancy inspection ensures that construction conforms to the approved plans. The inspection is comprehensive and may include taking light level and sound level readings, in addition to testing equipment such as hoods and eye washes.
After successful completion of the pre-occupancy inspection, the health district notifies the building department that it has no objection to the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy.
