Step #5 – School Requests Pre-Occupancy Inspection from the Health District


When construction is complete (or each phase for large projects), the school must request a pre-occupancy inspection from the health district. Requests should be made one week in advance (five working days) to allow for scheduling.  

IMPORTANT NOTE:  it is the school’s responsibility to request inspections. The building department DOES NOT automatically forward requests for pre-occupancy inspections to the health district.
