No-Cost Public Training

The MRC of Spokane County provides no-cost trainings for area businesses and organizations about naloxone, the Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) suicide prevention method, and Stop the Bleed. Each training is about an hour in length, plus time for Q&A. There is no charge for these trainings.

Naloxone

This training provides information about opioids, opioid use disorder, overdose, use of naloxone, safe response to overdose, access to naloxone, and naloxone administration.

Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention

Developed by the QPR Institute, QPR is a method that uses three simple steps to help anyone save a life from suicide. This training helps individuals recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade and refer someone to help.

Stop the Bleed

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) Stop the Bleed course teaches participants to recognize life-threatening bleeding and how to act quickly to control bleeding with three techniques. More than 4 million people worldwide have learned these techniques through this ACS course.
