Volunteering with MRC of Spokane County is an opportunity to join a team of peers who are ready to serve and give back to their community while putting their medical, public health and other professional experience to use. Volunteering opportunities include participating in emergency preparedness and response efforts, providing medical support at community events, or supporting regularly scheduled projects.
Depending on each volunteer’s goals, time commitment ranges from a few hours a year to a few hours per week. All volunteers are required to complete orientation training, which takes about five hours to complete.
The MRC was established to provide a way to recruit, train, and activate medical and public health professionals and other volunteers to respond to community health needs during disasters and other public health emergencies.
Examples of activities that MRC volunteers participate in and support include the following:
If you have a need that MRC volunteers can assist with, please fill out the MRC Request Form and we will respond by the next business day.
