What to Expect After You Submit a Request

Within five business days after the receipt of a request, the HIPAA & Records department will do one or more of the following:

  • Make requested records available for inspection or copying
  • Acknowledge receipt of request and provide a reasonable estimate of when requested records will be available
  • Seek clarification of unclear requests
  • Deny the request and cite the legal exemption

Please review the SRHD Public Records Request Procedure for more information.

Fees and Procedure

Fees and Procedure

Please refer to the current Spokane Regional Health District fee schedule for an overview of fees charged for the provision of public records.

Once records are prepared for the requester, SRHD will provide the requester with an invoice. Payment is required before records are provided. The invoice can be paid over the phone, by mail, or in-person. Once payment is received, the records will be provided to the requester.

Fees amounting to less than $5 will be waived. However, persons who make multiple record requests may be required to pay all fees when the estimated total of their collective requests exceeds $5. Please review the SRHD Public Records Request Procedure for more information.
