Spokane, Wash. – Beginning April 15, 2024, roofing and pipe work will begin on the balcony of Spokane Regional Health District’s (SRHD) building at 1101 W. College Ave. in Spokane. The work will take about seven weeks to complete and will have minimal impact on community access to SRHD services and the surrounding area.

The greatest impact will be due to work requiring a large crane. We anticipate this will take place over the first three weeks of work (April 15-May 3). When the crane is in operation:

  • Parking will be limited as the fall radius of the crane will extend into parking lots. Community members are asked to follow signs and construction tape indicating where to park.
  • College Ave. will close in front of the SRHD building when the crane is operating on the north side.

In order to mitigate risk to SRHD staff and clients throughout the duration of the project, entrances will be closed on the side of the building where work is being done. Alternate entrances will be available to ensure community access to SRHD services. Please watch for directional signs providing guidance to safe entrances.

SRHD asks for the community’s patience as the construction work takes place. As with most projects of this nature, the timelines and each days’ activities are subject to change due to various factors.

In addition to notifying the community, SRHD is working with neighboring entities such as Kendall Yards Assoc. and Spokane County to keep them informed of any impact work may have on their properties.
