Spokane, Wash. – April 4-10, 2022, Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) celebrates National Public Health Week, a week where local health jurisdictions across the country recognize the connections created within the community through public health.

By working together, we can strengthen and support the very foundation of our health and our communities. This year SRHD will be highlighting the national theme, “Public Health is Where You Are,” by sharing the many programs that are at work in the lives of community members.

To celebrate National Public Health Week and to also bring attention to the programs and services available to the Spokane community, SRHD will share daily updates and messages from local leaders on their social media channels all week (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube).

On Wednesday, April 6, at 10 a.m. SRHD’s weekly Facebook Live will feature Public Health Officer, Dr. Francisco Velázquez speaking about National Public Health Week along with community partners sharing how SRHD has kept them safe and their doors open throughout the pandemic.

In addition, Spokane community partners are participating with banners and blue lights to light up downtown Spokane all week. The SRHD building will also be lit up in blue.
