Spokane Valley City Council Member, Position 7
Term: 2017-2021

Fulfilling a lifelong dream of serving her community, Linda Thompson was elected to Position 7 as a result of the November 2017 election. She completed the remainder of the 2017 term, which had been filled by an interim candidate, and then will complete her own four-year term from January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2021.

 A 1972 graduate of Central Valley High School, Thompson holds a BA in General Studies with a Certificate in Public Relations from Eastern Washington University and a MA in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University. As Executive Director of the Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council (GSSAC), Thompson brings many years of public policy work focused on the health, safety, and well-being of our community with an emphasis on youth. She states she is honored to serve her fellow citizens in the city she loves.
