Spokane County Commissioner, District 3
Term: 2023-2024
Josh is a lifelong resident of Spokane County where he attended Mead schools. He earned an Associates Degree from Spokane Community College, then transferred to Whitworth University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and later, a master’s degree in Business Administration.
Josh previously worked for the Washington State Legislature as a Senior Legislative Assistant for State Representative Jeff Holy. He managed Rep. Holy's campaigns in 2012 and 2014, and prior to that, Josh served in the same capacity for former State Representative John Ahern.
In Olympia, Josh has worked in the House of Representatives for six regular sessions and more special sessions than he'd like to remember. In doing so, he gained knowledge of the legislative process and saw first hand the major role that government plays in our everyday lives.
Josh is a small business owner as well. He owns a marketing company with his wife, Nichole, and has experience working for himself, in the private sector, and in government.
Josh and his wife are high school sweethearts and have been married since 2011. They have a son, a daughter, and two rescue dogs. Josh and Nichole both grew up in North Spokane County and decided to settle in the Mead/Colbert area.
