School Health & Safety Program

Local school and community representatives act as liaisons between health district and school communities.

Overview

An 11-member committee assists in the development of policies and procedures, including inspection frequency/content. The also help determine costs and make training and compliance recommendations, as well as assist in the development of educational materials. Representatives from local schools and the community serve on the advisory committee act as liaisons between health district and school community.


Interested in Becoming a School Advisory Committee Member?

Each year the health district looks for members to serve on its School Advisory Committee. Openings on the 11-member committee vary each year based on which existing committee members fulfilled their terms. Committee members serve two-year terms and attend four meetings per year.
