SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Regional Health District’s (SRHD) Opioid Treatment Program within the Treatment Services division received all necessary licenses and accreditations, required by state and federal law, for operating at the new location, 312 W. 8th Ave. in Spokane.

As of Aug. 2, 2023, the following license and accreditation requirements were received:

  • Behavioral Health Agency License, Washington State Department of Health
  • Drug Other Controlled Substances Registration, Washington State Department of Health Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission
  • Controlled Substance Registration Certificate, United States Drug Enforcement Agency
  • Opioid Treatment Program Certification, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration

The move into the 8th Avenue location will take place over the next few months. SRHD expects to transition all services this fall once credentialing is completed.

According to Treatment Services Division Director Misty Challinor, the move from the current SRHD campus on College Avenue to 8th Avenue will allow for easier access to services, a more streamlined flow for patients, provide room for additional services, and expansion of care.

“Helping people build a foundation for a healthy life in their recovery improves relationships, quality of life, and the economic well-being of the people in our community,” said Challinor. “We want all of our communities to live in a healthy and safe environment, and the opportunity to expand our services is a part of making that happen.”

Further information on the Treatment Services move to 8th Avenue and the services provided can be found on the Opioid Treatment Program page.
