Amanda Dugger Recognized as West Spokane Wellness Partnership’s Member of the Month!
Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) has some incredibly dedicated staff, and we’re always excited when one of our team members is recognized by the community. This month Amanda Dugger, Health Program Specialist with SRHD’s Youth Cannabis & Commercial Tobacco Program, is being recognized as the West Spokane Wellness Partnership’s Coalition (WSWPC) member of the month. The WSWPC is a volunteer-led community coalition that has been working toward reducing substance use, misuse, and abuse inside West Spokane for the last 11 years.
At SRHD, Amanda educates community members about the risks of tobacco and cannabis and supports efforts to reduce use of the products. Amanda is not new to this work or collaborating with community partners in these efforts. Sarah McNew, WSWPC coordinator, shared, “Amanda was chosen because she has been an active WSWPC member for years. She has been an incredible asset to not only our coalition but our community and continues to be an advocate for prevention in West Spokane. Amanda is always willing to be vulnerable in sharing her true self and her life journey. She is a team player and is always willing to contribute and serve her community.”
Amanda exemplifies the vision of SRHD to support healthy lives, safe environments, and thriving communities. Through dedicated employees like Amanda and amazing community partners like WSWPC, we have a stronger community. Congratulations, Amanda, and thank you for all the amazing work you do!
