Farmers Markets

Food Security and Health Promoting Food Systems

Connecting food assistance programs with local growers to supply our community with nutritious food and support small businesses.

Program Overview

Local partners have come together to support the use of federal, state, and community food assistance programs at our region’s thriving farmer’s markets. The goals of this initiative are to help families buy high quality food with dignity, provide nourishment for a healthy body and brain, help our local economy prosper, help farmers feed their families, and to teach children to taste and enjoy fruit and vegetables.
