Four Candidates Interview for Spokane Regional Health District’s Administrative Officer Position

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) Board of Health will interview four candidates for SRHD’s administrative officer position. The board of health, in conjunction with Reffett Associates Executive Search Consultants (Reffett), led the candidate search process. The search process incorporated insight and feedback from multiple staff and community stakeholders regarding the desired qualities and abilities of an administrative officer for SRHD.
Working at the direction of the board of health, the administrative officer serves as chief executive officer for SRHD and provides leadership to the health district and its staff. The administrative officer is responsible for the successful operation of SRHD, including establishing and implementing public health policies and programs to promote and protect the health of the citizens of Spokane County.
“The Spokane Regional Health District Board of Health is pleased to move forward with four very qualified candidates for the administrative officer position,” said Board of Health Chair Kevin Freeman, City of Millwood mayor. “We are fortunate to have a pool of applicants of this caliber from across the nation to introduce to the board, SRHD staff, and the community.”

Candidate interviews are on October 30 and include in-person interviews with the board of health, selected SRHD staff, and a group of community partners and public health stakeholders. SRHD staff will have an opportunity to meet and interact with the candidates. Following interviews, feedback will be collected from SRHD staff and the community group by Reffett, and the board of health will determine a timeline for the next steps in the hiring process.
