Washington State Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are encouraging residents to stop using EzriCareTM Artificial Tears because they have been associated with infections that are resistant to antibiotics. Washington and 10 other states have reported a total of 50 cases of this specific bacterial infection that has caused multiple hospitalizations, vision loss, and the death of one person from a blood infection. Symptoms of an eye infection include pain, swelling, discharge, redness, blurry vision, sensitivity to light and the feeling of a foreign object in the eye. If you have concerns or are experiencing symptoms, contact your medical provider immediately.
