Nov. 1: Social Connections Learning Series

November 1, 2024 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Location

The Hive - A Spokane Public Library, 2904 E Sprague Ave, 99202

Details

Social isolation is a public health crisis.

Disconnection fundamentally affects our mental, physical, and societal health. In fact, loneliness and isolation increase the risk for individuals to develop mental health challenges in their lives, and lacking connection can increase the risk for premature death to levels comparable to smoking daily.

So, what can we do about it?

Join us at the Hive as we share about the importance of nurturing relationships and positive experiences during childhood and across the lifespan. Plus, ways each of us can foster these within our community!

The first event of the Social Connections Learning Series will focus on the importance and need for social connectedness among parents, caregivers, and children between the ages of 0-5 based on the Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE) framework.

Participants will hear from presenters, partake in conversation, and engage in meaningful activities.
