Overview

To ensure getting a permit is as simple as possible, the health district developed this process.

Below is a higher-level description of this process.

In accordance with WAC 246-272A-0340, on-site sewage system installers must obtain approval from the local health officer prior to providing services within a local health jurisdiction.

Installers are permitted annually by the health district. The permit process includes an application, payment of applicable fees and other requirements specific to the property.

To apply to become a permitted installer, the individual must take an open book installer’s test, bring a copy of current contractor’s license and payment (view current Spokane Regional Health District fee schedule) to Spokane Regional Health District, Room 402. Questions? Please call 509.324.1566.

A resulting list is provided for convenience and consists of individuals who are currently permitted through Spokane Regional Health District to provide installation services. The health district does not endorse, recommend or warrant the work of any sewage system installer.
