Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) Tobacco Prevention and Control are excited to share new tools for worksites who want to become smoke- and tobacco-free. Inside “Smoke- and Tobacco-free Worksites: A guide to implementing a policy that protects employee and community health” are easy to follow steps employers can use to:
- implement an entirely smoke- and tobacco-free property
- designate areas where smoke and tobacco use are permitted
- implement a tobacco-free hiring policy
Policies can include the use of cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars, hookah, and other combustible products that produce smoke or vapor, and may also include the use of smokeless tobacco.
Additionally, Tobacco Prevention and Control staff assembled a new Cessation Resources Sheet, chock full of contact information for several entities offering a multitude of quit resources. There are even ratings for the cessation methods that work best.,>
