For those who are ready to take steps towards a smoke-free life, The American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout event on November 21 is a great day to start. Across the country, thousands of people who smoke or vape will start their journey toward, and make a commitment to, a healthier, smoke-free and vaping-free life.
In conjunction with this national event, Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) is partnering with local organizations to provide community education about the emerging topic of e-cigarette, or vaping, product use associated lung injury, while also offering resources to support individuals in their efforts to stop smoking cigarettes and/or vaping devices.
SRHD is providing local partners with Quit Kits to promote tobacco and vapor product cessation in our community. Quit Kits are available at several local participating sites on November 21, 2019.
